On the afternoon of January 7, the re-election meeting of executive directors of the Branch of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) of Tsinghua Alumni Association (hereinafter referred to as EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association) was held in the West Main Building. More than 50 people, including Yang Liu, deputy director of Tsinghua Alumni Work Office and deputy secretary general of Tsinghua Alumni Association, Kang Chongqing, Dean of EEA and chairman of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association, Yu Xinjie, secretary of the Party Committee of EEA and vice chairman of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association, and candidates for the second executive council of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association, attended the meeting online and offline, and some directors of the alumni association also attended the meeting online. The meeting was presided over by Zheng Zedong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of EEA and secretary general of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association.
Yang Liu, on behalf of Tsinghua Alumni Association, delivered a speech to express her warm congratulations on the opening of the re-election meeting of the executive council of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association. She fully affirmed the achievements of the EEA Branch in active and innovative activities and cultural communication in recent years. Meanwhile, she introduced the progress of Tsinghua Alumni Association in terms of self-construction and contact service system in recent years. She hoped that the EEA Branch can further cooperate closely with Tsinghua Alumni Association and play a greater role in supporting the development of EEA. Mr. Zheng Zedong reported the development of alumni work since the establishment of the first council. With the strong support from the alumni, a lot of work has been carried out in visiting and contacting alumni, establishing local alumni organizations and building an alumni information service platform. A bridge for communication between alumni and alumni and between alumni and departments was built, and alumni’s strength is integrated to promote the development of departments. Mr. Yu Xinjie explained the revision of the working methods, selection and generation of directors and executive directors of the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association, and introduced the list of the second executive directors.

In the alumni exchange session, all executives actively spoke and offered suggestions for the development of alumni work. In the end, Mr. Kang Chongqing said in his concluding speech that the development of EEA is inseparable from the selfless dedication of the alumni, and he sincerely thanked the first council for organizing alumni brand activities and participating in the development of EEA. In addition, he expressed his congratulations to the election of the members of the second executive council, hoping that under the leadership of the new executive council, the EEA Branch of Tsinghua Alumni Association can be further expanded, writing a new chapter for EEA alumni.
