On the morning of January 5, 2022, thedonationceremony of “Tsinghua Alumnus— Zhu Deheng Team Scholarship”was heldin the West Main Building. Zhu Deheng’s familymembersZhu Yalan andZhu Dejiong,Zhu Deheng’steam members Chen Changyu, Tan Kexiong, Qi Qingcheng, Gao Yuming, Shen Feiying, Xu Guozheng, Li Fuqi, Jing Weihong, Dong Xuzhu, Chen Henan, Wang Xiaoning, Huang Yulong, Liu Weidong, Gao Wensheng and Gao Shengyou,and SecretaryYu Xinjie and DeputySecretaryZheng Zedongof the Party Committee of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Yu Xinjie expressed his heartfelt thanks to Zhu Deheng’s family, teachers of the team and alumni of the Department of Electrical Engineering fortheirdonation ofscholarships to the Department! This is the first time to set up a scholarship bya teaching and research team, opening up a new scholarship donation method. This scholarship is not only an encouragement to students of the Department of Electrical Engineering, but also an inheritance of the spirit of the old professors of the Department of Electrical Engineering and the culture of the scientific research team.
Zhu Yalan, the daughter of Zhu Deheng, attended the donation ceremony online. She recalled Zhu Deheng’s study experience, and said that Zhu Deheng is a person who is aggressive and pursuing ideals, he hasbeen tryinghis best to help those motivated students and create more and better learning and work opportunities for them. The establishment of the Zhu Deheng Scholarship can contribute to the cultivation of talents inChina, which is gratifying.
Tan Kexiong, on behalf of Zhu Deheng’s team, introduced the team history and achievements in his speech. He mentioned that the scholarship,named after Zhu Deheng, is botha tribute to him and a high recognition and praise forhis pioneering spirit. Byactively donatingfunds to establishascholarship, the alumni of the Department of Electrical Engineering, trained by the team, has set an example for the studentstoknow how to pay back, know how to plan, and assume their own social responsibilities.
One of the sponsors of the scholarship, Dong Xuzhu, an alumni representative of the Department of Electrical Engineering, said that the scholarship was named the Zhu Deheng Team Scholarship to pay both atribute to Dong Xuzhuand a gratitude to teachers of the team, whopracticed the school motto of Tsinghua University in every deed and word in student training, and weregrateful to their alma mater for training them.
Then Yu Xinjie and Tan Kexiong signed the scholarship memorandum on behalf of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Zhu Deheng’s team, respectively.
During thefollowingexchanges, Chen Changyu, Jing Weihong,andteachers and alumni of the Department of Electrical Engineering online and offline made speeches, recalling the work achievements of Zhu Deheng and his team,and wishing Tsinghua University and the Department of Electrical Engineeringto bloom at the 90th anniversary of thefoundation ofDepartment of Electrical Engineering.
