On the afternoon of December 30, the Department of Electrical Engineering held the 2025 all-faculty meeting in Lecture Hall 217, Zone 3, West Main Building. Members of the Party and administrative leadership team and over 80 faculty members attended. The meeting was hosted by Party Secretary Zheng Zedong, with Security Office Director Zuo Hang and Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office Lei Huan invited to attend.
Lei Huan and Zuo Hang Delivered Policy Briefings
In the policy briefing session, Lei Huan introduced the university’s discipline and program setup and adjustments, development of key disciplines, progress of AI-enabled discipline construction, and explained the overall approach of the university’s “15th Five-Year Plan” for discipline construction: optimizing discipline and program layout as the basis, achieving new breakthroughs in discipline development as the goal, and deepening interdisciplinary integration as the path to promote high-quality discipline development. Zuo Hang delivered a special briefing on campus anti-fraud and traffic safety, organizing attendees to watch the safety education warning video “Safety as a Shield, Escorting Tsinghua,” further enhancing faculty and staff awareness of safety precautions.
Zheng Zedong and Kang Chongqing Delivered Work Reports
In the reporting session for the Party and administrative leadership and individual cadres, Zheng Zedong comprehensively reported on the Department Party Committee’s work in 2025, covering the basic situation of the Party Committee, main work, and future prospects. He detailed the implementation of central eight regulations, promotion of national model department creation, coordination of development and safety, and work achievements in united front, public engagement, and security, while providing a personal report on ideological learning and integrity. Department Dean Kang Chongqing, representing the administrative team, presented a report systematically reviewing annual achievements in discipline construction, teaching and talent cultivation, scientific research innovation, national key laboratory development, and faculty team building, highlighting key annual projects and providing his personal work report. He emphasized that the Department of Electrical Engineering will unite all faculty and students, take pragmatic measures to embark on a new centennial journey, and strive to write a new chapter of high-quality development.
Wu Wenchuan, Yu Zhanqing, Lu Chao, Sun Kai, and Chen Laijun Delivered Individual Work Reports
Deputy Party Secretaries Wu Wenchuan and Yu Zhanqing, Deputy Dean Lu Chao, Sun Kai, and Chen Laijun delivered individual reports, detailing political theory study achievements, performance in their respective roles, work reflections, and future plans. After the reports, attendees conducted democratic evaluations of the leadership team and members’ performance during the year, including the probation assessment of Deputy Dean Sun Kai.
Min Yong, Lu Zongxiang, and Gao Wensheng Reported on “Two Institutes and One Office” Work
In the “Two Institutes and One Office” reporting session, Director Min Yong of the National Key Laboratory of Operation and Control of New Power Systems, Executive Vice Dean Lu Zongxiang of the Tsinghua Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute, and Executive Vice Dean Gao Wensheng of the Tsinghua University Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute summarized work achievements from core dimensions such as laboratory construction progress, talent team building, scientific research projects, and international cooperation, and outlined future key tasks and development directions based on practical needs.
This meeting comprehensively reviewed the Department’s achievements in 2025, further consolidated consensus, and clarified future directions. In 2026, all faculty and students of the Department of Electrical Engineering will continue to uphold a spirit of unity and pioneering, concentrate their efforts, act with pragmatism, and advance all undertakings with high quality, contributing more to the university’s “Double First-Class” construction.
