On the morning of August 3, a delegation of twelve from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, led by Party Secretary Zhang Ming, Dean Hu Jiabing, Executive Deputy Director of the National Pulsed High Magnetic Field Science Center Han Xiaotao, Vice Deans Yang Yong, Qin Bin, Kong Wubin, Fang Jiakun, Liu Yi, as well as Deputy Party Secretaries Lv Yiliang and Chen Xuezi, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Tsinghua University for a research discussion. EEA Dean Kang Chongqing, Deputy Dean Zhang Pinjia, Deputy Director Xu Fei of the Key Laboratory for Operation and Control of New Type Power Systems, Executive Vice President Gao Wensheng of Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Executive Vice President Lu Zongxiang of Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua Univerity, and Assistant Deans Sun Kai and Hu Wei participated in the discussion.
The group first visited EEA’s history exhibition hall, gaining insights into the various developments and changes since the department’s establishment, with Dean Kang Chongqing accompanying them and providing explanations.
During the meeting, Kang Chongqing welcomed the visitors from SEEE, expressing that there is a profound friendship and good cooperation between the two departments, and he hoped to further strengthen communication and exchanges.
Zhang Pinjia introduced the department's teaching work, while Sun Kai presented the research work of the department. Zhang Ling, the head of the undergraduate student working group, shared information about student affairs, and Xu Fei, Gao Wensheng, and Lu Zongxiang each introduced relevant departmental activities.
Zhang Ming and Hu Jiabing provided an overview of the various works at SEEE, HUST.
Finally, the leaders from EEA and SEEE engaged in comprehensive discussions, reaching a preliminary agreement on collaboration in research, talent cultivation, faculty exchange, and postdoctoral training.
