On the afternoon of March 6, 2023, Sun Fuyou, Vice President of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Ma Junli, Director of Strategy and Industrial Development of Huawei Group, Zhu Yun, Chief Innovation Officer of Huawei Power Digitalization Corps, and Tian Song, Leader of Huawei 2012 Laboratory Power Digital Technologies, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), Tsinghua University, and discussed relevant scientific research cooperation on the Power Digitalization Corps towards the construction of new type electric power systems. The symposium was chaired by Professor Lu Chao, Deputy Dean of EEA.
Kang Chongqing, Dean of EEA, introduced to the guests the long-term close and friendly relationship between Tsinghua University with EEA and Huawei in terms of personnel training and talent delivery, mainly described the foundation and achievement of EEA’s teams in their different fields of specialties, and hoped that Huawei could establish more cooperation channels in theoretical research, think tanks, industrialization and alliances.
Sun Fuyou, vice president of Huawei, introduced that the company has established a power digitalization corps in March 2022 to develop and apply digital technologies for the power industry, and maintains close cooperation with many leading companies in the industry. He also hoped to leverage Huawei’s advantages in engineering and industrialization, further combine EEA’s advantages in cutting-edge technologies and theoretical research, realize the integration of industry, education and research in the new type power system and digitalization, and better serve the national energy strategy.
Lu Chao, deputy dean of EEA, introduced the overall scientific research of the Department and the National Key Laboratory of New Type Power Systems.
Professors He Jinliang, Shen Chen, Gao Wensheng, Xu Fei, and Sun Kai from EEA, who participated in the symposium, introduced their research teams and major scientific research directions, and shared their views on the cooperation with Huawei.
