On the afternoon of February 14, Xu Shaojun, director of the Science and Technology Department, State Grid, and executives from Beijing Electric Power Company, State Grid, including Yue Guorong, manager, Li Fei, secretary of the Party Committee, Yang Yong, chief accountant, Sun Yefei, manager assistant and office director, Sun Liang, director of the Science and Technology Internet Office, Zhang Yan, deputy director of the Party Construction Department, Zhao Kun, specially invited expert, and Li Wenqian, specialist of the Science and Technology Internet Office, visited the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) to explore “scientific and technological innovation”. Zhang Yousheng, deputy director of the Development and Planning Office of Tsinghua University, participated in the discussion. The symposium was chaired by Lu Chao, deputy dean of EEA
Xu Shaojun first reviewed a number of projects that completed by State Grid and EEA together in 2022, and introduced the focuses in capital application scenarios, technology scenarios, and laboratory development projects in 2023. He hoped State Grid and EEA would further strengthen university-enterprise cooperation in core technology research and demonstration project development.
Sun Liang introduced the construction of three major platforms, namely “revealing the list and taking command”, “industry-university-research collaboration” and “transformation of innovative achievements”, the promotion of research on key core technologies in the field of new type power systems, and the transition to green and low carbon development.
Zhu Guiping, deputy dean of EEA, introduced Tsinghua University’s cultivation for engineering masters and doctors. Cheng Lin, Sun Kai, Hu Zechun and Huang Shaowei, teachers of EEA, and Gao Feng, vice president of the Energy Internet Innovation Research Institute, introduced respective research fields, sorted out the research contents that can be realized in the future. All participants made heated discussions on these issues.
Yue Guorong and Li Fei pointed out in their speeches that State Grid has a long-term relationship with EEA, and hoped that the two sides would utilize their respective advantages and work together to complete more scientific research.
