On the afternoon of December 9, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA) held a party-government meeting. Vice President Yang Bin and all members of EEA’s Party-Government Committee attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yu Xinjie, Secretary of EEA’s Party Committee.
At the meeting, the Party-Government Committee first listened to the reports on pandemic prevention and control by Zheng Zedong, Wu Wenchuan, Yu Zhanqing, Zhu Guiping, Li Qi and Hu Wei, including students’ pandemic control, staff’s pandemic control, special official for pandemic control, team for emergency pandemic control, reserve of material for pandemic control and further work arrangements for teaching under the pandemic. Afterwards, the members of the Party-Government Committee reported on the work of each and made decisions mainly on the preparation of the content of the departmental summary and exchange meeting, work summary in 2022, reelection of the alumni association, laboratory safety work, preparation for the final exam, and preparation for the strategic advisory committee.
Yang Bin highly affirmed EEA’s effort and achievement in implementing the university’s requirement for pandemic prevention and control, especially in the organization of a team for emergency treatment, material security and integrated teaching. Yang Bin pointed out that EEA has a profound background and fine traditions, and has made outstanding contribution to the university’s discipline development and the construction of a first-class university for a long time. He hoped that EEA can make steady progress, take advantage of the momentum, climb to new heights and carry out various tasks well.
