On September 16, a team led by Li Donglin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CRRC Zhuzhou Institute), and Liu Ke’an, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the company, visited Tsinghua University. Zeng Rong, vice president of Tsinghua University, and Kang Chongqing, Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics (EEA), attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zheng Zedong, deputy secretary of EEAs Party Committee.

At the meeting, people listened to the report of the projects under research by the Green Transport and Energy Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the Joint Research Center) of Tsinghua University (EEA) and CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, and gave suggestions on the follow-up work.

Distinguished Alumni 

For cooperation and exchange, Liu Ke’an, General Manager of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, introduced the industrial sector and future development layout of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, and Kang Chongqing, Dean of EEA, introduced EEAs discipline layout, governance system structure and key development directions under the Dual-carbon goal. Then, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on enlarging the cooperation between CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and Tsinghua University in the fields of transport, energy and semiconductors.

Overview of the De 

Li Donglin pointed out that CRRC Zhuzhou, as a core subsidiary of CRRC, is an enterprise full of reform spirit and innovative genes. At present, it is transforming from a rail transit equipment enterprise to a multi-sector comprehensive development. Energy and transportation are the key development areas. It is hoped that long-term and in-depth cooperation with Tsinghua University will be formed in many fields.

Vice President Zeng Rong pointed out that CRRC Zhuzhou Institute is an innovative enterprise with important industry influence in the fields of rail transit and energy equipment. In terms of national energy strategy, Tsinghua University and CRRC Zhuzhou can join forces in the fields of semiconductor devices and applications, carbon neutral technologies and models, future transport and energy technologies and innovate industrial models, and promote the integration of scientific research and industrial chains , strengthen organized scientific research, and support the national technological self-reliance and self-improvement.

Shang Jing, member of the leading team of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and General Manager of Times Electric, Liu Haitao, Deputy General Manager of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute and President of the Research Institute, Wu Yudong, Deputy Chief Economist of Times Electric and Vice Chairman of the semiconductor company, Luo Haihui, General Manager of Times Electric Semiconductor, Zhang Zhixue, a technical expert of CRCC Zhuzhou Institute, Zheng Zedong, Deputy Secretary of EEAs Party Committee and Director of the Joint Research Center, Yu Zhanqing, Deputy Dean of EEA, Professor Li Yongdong, Associate Professor Hu Zechun, and Teacher Wang Kui of EEA attended the meeting.
