On the morning of January 11, 2021, the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory for Safety Control and Simulation of Power Systems and Large-scale Power Generation Equipment (hereinafter referred to as the Lab) was held in Conference Room 102, Zone 3, West Main Building. According to the pandemic prevention and control requirements of Beijing City Government and Tsinghua University, this meeting was held in online and offline forms. 15 members of the Academic Committee of the Lab including Academician Ma Weiming, Academician He Yaling, Academician Guo Jianbo, Academician Liu Jizhen, Academician Luo An, Academician Xia Changliang, Academician Tang Guangfu, Academician Wang Qiuliang, Professor Wang Chengshan, Professor Yang Qingxin, Professor Liao Ruijin, Professor Ju Ping, Professor Wen Jinyu, Professor Kang Chongqing and Professor Li Zheng, and more than 60 teachers including Academician Han Yingduo, lab directors and key members, attended the meeting online or offline. Academician Ma Weiming, chairman of the Academic Committee, presided over the meeting, and Fang Hongwei, president of the Scientific Research Institute of Tsinghua University, also attended the meeting.

First of all, Fang Hongwei, president of the Scientific Research Institute, delivered a welcome speech and heartfelt thanks to all the experts attending the meeting, and introduced the progress made by Tsinghua University in scientific research in 2020.

Then, Professor Zeng Rong, director of the Lab, reported the academic committee on the lab work from three aspects: overview of the Lab, major work progress in 2020, and reform and development of the Lab, and mainly consulted the member of Academic Committee for the process and plan of the reform and reorganization of the Lab in 2020.

After that, Professor Zhao Zhengming, Associate Professor Li Qi, Professor Liu Weidong and Professor Ding Yanjun respectively made special reports on "Electromagnetic Transient Modeling and Simulation of Large Capacity Power Electronic System", "High Temperature Thin Film Capacitor Dielectric Materials", "Power System Broadband Voltage Measurement Technology and Application", "High Precision On-line Monitoring Technology for Industrial Flue Gas Ammonia Emission".

The members of the Academic Committee fully affirmed the performance of the lab work, and put forward many targeted opinions and suggestions on lab reform and orientation, discipline layout and development, basic research, satisfying the major needs of the country, and the construction of public platforms. The committee members hope to make use of the opportunity of lab reform and reorganization to play a leading role for their peers in systematic and institutional construction, interdisciplinary and condensed major research.
Finally, Academician Han Yingduo expressed his thanks to the members. The leading group of the Lab listened carefully to the suggestions of the committee members and said that they would conscientiously study and understand the spirit of the meeting and further promote the lab reform.
