In the spring semester of 2020 under the impact of the COVID-19, Tsinghua University decided to "postpone opening the university but start teaching as scheduled" and promote online teaching in various IT means. Such large-scale, real-time, interactive, remote and decentralized online teaching for the whole university has attracted the attention and reports of many mainstream media abroad.

To reach a better teaching goal, Professor Zhu Guiping and some other teachers of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics chose the "cloud" experiment, so that students can complete experiments with real materials at home. This innovative online teaching method attracted the attention of reporters from (British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), who interviewed and filmed Professor Zhu Guiping's online teaching process of "Circuit principles" and "cloud" experiment on the morning of March 3. BBC reporter had an in-depth exchange with Professor Zhu Guiping and his students on the experience of online teaching and the implementation process of the "cloud" experiment.
