Recently, the General Office of the Organizational Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the Circular on the Issue of the List of Personnel Enrolled in the Fourth National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan. Prof. Wu Wenchuan, Department of Electrical Engineering & Applied Electronic Technology (EEA), Tsinghua University (THU), was selected as the Leading Talent of scientific and technological innovation of the "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", and associate Prof. Hu Zechun was selected as the Top Young Talent of the Plan.
The National Ten Thousand Talents Plan is called the National Special Support Plan for High-level Talents, which is a major talent project implemented at the national level. The overall goal is to select a group of outstanding talents, leading talents and young top-notch talents in natural science, engineering technology, philosophy and Social Sciences in ten years and give them special support. The fourth batch of national Ten Thousand Talents Plan selected 645 leading talents in scientific and technological innovation, and 210 top young talents (natural sciences).
Prof. Wu Wenchuan, a long-term professor by the EEA, Tsinghua University, director of the Research Institute for Electric Power Systems, doctoral tutor, winner of the National Natural Science Outstanding Youth Fund, and IET fellow.
Research directions: large power grid energy management system, energy internet/active distribution network operation scheduling and self-regulation control, large-scale renewable energy generation operation control, and AC/DC hybrid real-time simulation
