The 2018 (5th) Summit of Robot Core Components & Key Technology organized by Department of Electrical Engineering was held successfully in Tsinghua University on Nov. 03, 2018. The meeting was co-sponsored and supported by Tsinghua Robot Technology & Industrial Collaborative Innovation Union, China Science & Technology Automation Alliance, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Xiong’an Institute of Robotics, Educational Training Working Committee of China Robot Industry Alliance.
Prof. Xiao Xi of THU Department of Electrical Engineering was appointed as the chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Chen Ken of Department Mechanical Engineering THU served as the chairman of the meeting, and Wang Jian who is vice President and Secretary-general of China Science & Technology Automation Alliance acted as the executive committee chairman. 18 experts and scholars from the domestic and overseas fields delivered the unusually brilliant keynote speeches successively on such hot issues as robotic industrial development, general basic theories of robots motion and control, core techniques for industrial and service robots, and man-machine collaboration and integration. The keynote speakers include the following experts at home and abroad: Prof. Zhang Jianwei of Universitat of Hamburg, Prof. Xun Ji of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Prof. Xiao Xi of Tsinghua University; as well as representatives from the leading and backbone robots enterprises, such as Senior Vice President Wang Hongyu of Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., Doc. You Wei who is Executive Vice President of Effort Group, Doc. Li Miao who is founder & CEO of Cobot Technology, Mr. Tang Xiaoping who is vice-General Manager of Tsino Dynatron, Mr. Liu Xuenan who is the founder of CEO of Kangli Youlan Robot, Mr. Han Fengtao who is CTO of ROKAE, Wang Jiapeng who is the co-founder of JAKAROBOT, Doc. Cai Yingpeng who is CEO of Beijing INSPIRE-ROBOTs. Nearly 300 representatives from universities and robot enterprises attended the meeting, and good exchange effect was achieved at the meeting.
The Tsinghua Robot Technology & Industrial Collaborative Innovation Union was jointly initiated by Prof. Xiao Xi of Department of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Zhang Tao of Department of Automation, Prof. Chen Ken of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Liao Hongen of Department of Bioengineering, and Prof. Sun Fuchun and associate Prof. Xu Hua of State Key Laboratory of Intellectual Technology and System in March 2016, and it was established jointly by scores of backbone enterprises in the robot industry such as China Science & Technology Automation Alliance, ETOWN Institute of Intelligent Robot Industry, EFORT Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., Shenyang SINSUN Robot Automation Co., Ltd., GSK CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Micro-Motor Institute. Aiming at the domestication of core technology, the Innovation Union jointly boosts China’s robotic technology and industry based on techniques, standards and market demands by the production-teaching-research collaboration and collaborative innovation platform.
