Qingyao Ai
Qingyao Ai is an Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. His research mainly focuses on Information Retrieval and Machine Learning related topics. Currently he is working on applying machine learning techniques on IR problems including ranking optimization, document retrieval, conversational search, and more.
Wenguang Chen
Wenguang Chen is a professor in Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. His research interest is in parallel and distributed systems, programming model, and mobiles computing. He received the Bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Tsinghua University in 1995 and 2000 respectively. Before joining Tsinghua in 2003, he was the CTO of Opportunity International Inc. He was appointed as the associate head of Department of Computer Science and Technology from 2007 to 2014.
He has published over 50 papers in international conferences and journals like Supercomputing, EuroSys, USENIX ATC, OOPSLA, ICSE. He is a distinguished member and distinguished speaker of CCF( China Computer Foundation). He is an ACM member, vice chair of ACM China Council, and Editor-in-Chief of Communications of ACM( China Edition). He serves in the program committee of many conferences, such as PLDI 2012,PPoPP 2013、2014, SC 2015, ASPLOS 2016, CGO 2014,2016, IPDPS 2011, CCGrid 2014, ICPP 2009、2010、2011、 2015,APSYS 2011、2013、2015.He received the Distinguished Young Scholar Award of Natural Science Foundation in 2015.
Yuxiao Dong
Yuxiao Dong is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, where he is a member of the Knowledge Engineering Group (KEG). Before joining Tsinghua, he was a researcher at Meta AI and Microsoft Research Redmond. His research focuses on data mining, graph representation learning, and large language models (ChatGLM). He was selected as one of the IJCAI’22 Early Career Spotlights and received the 2017 ACM SIGKDD Doctoral Dissertation Award Honorable Mention and 2022 SIGKDD Rising Star Award.
Xiaolin Hu
Xiaolin Hu received the Ph.D. degree in automation and computer-aided engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2007. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is working in the interface between artificial intelligence and neuroscience. He has published over 50 papers in international journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, PLoS ONE, Neural Computation, European Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Neurophysiology, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, CVPR, NIPS. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems.
Minlie Huang
Dr. Minlie Huang, full professor of Tsinghua University, deputy director of the Intelligent Technology and Systems Laboratory, deputy director of the Foundation Model Center of Tsinghua University. He was selected as National Distinguished Young Scholar. His research fields include large-scale language models, dialogue systems, and language generation. He authored the book "Modern Natural Language Generation". He published more than 150 papers in premier conferences and journals, with more than 16,000 Google Scholar citations, h-index 62, selected as Elsevier China's Highly Cited Scholar in 2022, and selected for the AI 2000 list of the world's most influential AI scholars for three consecutive years; He has won several best papers or nominations at major international conferences (IJCAI, ACL, SIGDIAL, etc.). He led the development of several pretrained models including CDial-GPT, EVA, OPD, CPM, CharacterGLM. He serves as associate editors for TNNLS, TACL, CL, and TBD, and has served as the senior area chair of ACL/EMNLP/IJCAI/AAAI for more than 10 times. Guoliang Li
Guoliang Li is a full professor at Tsinghua University. His research interests include database, big data, large-scale data cleaning and integration. He got VLDB 2017 Early Research Contribution Award, TCDE 2014 Early Career Award, VLDB 2023 Industry Best Paper Runner-up, CIKM 2017 Best Paper Award, VLDB 2020 Best Papers, KDD 2018 Best Papers, ICDE 2018 Best Papers, DASFAA 2023 Best Paper Award, DASFAA 2014 Best Paper Runnerup, APWeb 2014 Best Paper Award, EDBT 2013 Similarity Join and Search Champion. He was SIGMOD 2021 general chair.
Huaping Liu
Huaping Liu is currently a Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He received Fund of Distinguished Young Scholar by the Natural Science Foundation of China. Currently he serve as Senior Editor of International Journal of Robotics Research and he has served as Area Chair for Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) for several times. His research interests include embodied perception and learning.
Yang Liu
Yang Liu is the GDS Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. He is Executive Dean of Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR) and Associate Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Technology. His research interests include artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and Medical AI. He received COLING/ACL 2006 Meritorious Asian NLP Paper Award, ACL 2017 Outstanding Paper Award, ACL 2023 Outstanding Paper Award, and ICLR 2023 Outstanding Paper Award Honorable Mention. He served as Executive Committee Member of Asia-Pacific Chapter of ACL, Editorial Board Member of Computational Linguistics, and Associate Editor of ACM TALLIP.
Zhiyuan Liu
Zhiyuan Liu is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science and Technology in Tsinghua University. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua in 2011. His research interests include representation learning, knowledge graphs and social computation., and has published more than 30 papers in top-tier conferences and journals of AI and NLP, cited by more than one thousand times according to Google Scholar. He is a recipient of the Best PhD Thesis of Tsinghua University, the Best PhD Thesis of CAAI (Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence), and Outstanding Post-Doctoral Fellow in Tsinghua University. He serves as Youth Associate Editor of Frontiers of Computer Science, PC members of ACL, IJCAI, AAAI, etc.
Jie Tang
Jie Tang is a WeBank Chair Professor of Computer Science at Tsinghua University. He is a Fellow of the ACM, a Fellow of AAAI, and a Fellow of IEEE. His interest is artificial general intelligence (AGI). His research received the SIGKDD Test-of-Time Award (10-year Best Paper). He also received the SIGKDD Service Award.
Jun Zhu
Dr. Jun Zhu is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Technology in Tsinghua University and the Director of Basic Theory Research Center at the Tsinghua Institute for AI. He was an Adjunct Faculty at the Machine Learning Department in Carnegie Mellon University from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Zhu received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua in 2005 and 2009, respectively. Before joining Tsinghua in 2011, he did post-doctoral research in Carnegie Mellon University. His research interest lies in machine learning and applications in text and image analysis. Dr. Zhu has published over 100 papers in the prestigious conferences and journals. He is an associate editor-in-chief for IEEE Trans. on PAMI. He served as area chair/senior PC for ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, IJCAI, UAI, AAAI, and AISTATS. He was a local co-chair of ICML 2014. He is a recipient of several awards, including Xplorer Prize, IEEE Intelligent Systems "AI's 10 to Watch" Award, MIT TR35 China, NSFC Excellent Young Scholar Award, CCF Young Scientist Award, and CCF first-class Natural Science Award.
