Searching for resources at E-library

By clicking “DISCOVER@THU” on the English homepage, you can access Shuimu Search(水木搜索), which provides simple, one-stop searching for books and e-books, journal articles, theses and dissertations, videos, and more. You may choose to search items within “All”, “All Print Resources”, or “E-Resources”. “Advanced search” can be used to conduct more complex searches using specific fields... call number, document number, and ISBN/ISSN. As for e-books, the search results provide direct access to the relevant online resources. You may read the full text by following the link.

For printed books, the search results provide information about the locations, availability and call numbers. You can then go to the appropriate locations in the library to find the book.

If the status reads “Item in place”, you can find the book on the shelf right away. If it reads “due + a future date”, the book is currently unavailable. You can log in to your “My Library Card” account and place a request.

Searching for Electronic Versions

On the “Shuimu Search” page, you can select “Electronic Resources” in the Collection column and enter your keywords.

After selecting the item you need, proceed to its detailed information page, where you will find several external links to the required e-resource.
